A cheerful and rainy Saturday ended with sorrow at Kampala International University (KIU) after sad news trickled in that Ojo Obalowose who has been a lecturer at the law department had passed on.

The deceased, who is from Nigeria,  has been teaching at the Kasanga-based university for quite some time and was among the most experienced lecturers at the law school.

According to one of the late’s students, his death was catalyzed by intense headache whose genesis hasn’t been established yet. The late was in office when he fainted. He was rushed to Nsambya hospital for medical attention from where he lost the battle for his life.

“We are so saddened by his death just as the semester was reopening. He died last night due to severe headache and has always had issues with diabetes and high blood pressure,” said a female 3rd year Law student.

Arrangements are underway to fly the remains of the late to his home land (Nigeria) for a decent burial. May the soul of the departed Rest In Eternal Peace.
