Andrew Okot who was involved in the murder of his baby mama and spouse Fahim Natoolo was over the weekend arrested while trying to flee out of the country.
While at Kiira road police station, he confessed how he brought Natoolo’s life to an end in cold blood.
On the fateful Sunday night, Okot was in the bathroom showering off the day’s stress while Natoolo was on the bed busily engaging with her friends on WhatsApp.
As Okot got done with the bathroom, Natoolo was showing no signs of recognizing his presence in the bedroom as she got busier on the phone. Okot was starting to feel irritated and asked why he wasn’t being paid attention to. According to his confession, Natoolo told Okot to look for his own phone and chat with his friends- a statement that brought up peeved Okot.
He then picked up an ironing box and hit Natoolo causing a fracas in the room breaking a mirror and other things that injured him too. At this point Natoolo was begging him for forgiveness but all this fell to short tempered deaf ears.
He then picked up a knife and started stabbing her as she begged to be forgiven until the last breath when Okot regained his senses.
It was too late for him to reverse his anger and its consequences so he locked the house and drove to Riders Clinic, Kyaliwajla, for first aid attending to the injuries he had sustained. He then left his car and fled to his workmate’s place where the neighbors noticed him and alarmed the police.
Natoloo’s husband who has been abroad told police that he knew these two were always a thing but had no evidence to prove it.
“One day I eavesdropped on my wife’s password and found her shocking messages with Okot but when I confronted her, she said the relationship was being sustained on grounds of raising their kid mutually,” said the husband.
“Apparently, I wanted to come back to the country and sit together with her parents and get to the bottom of this but unfortunately I returned to the sad news of my wife’s death,” added the husband.
May her soul RIP.
