Police is on the hunt for Okot Andrew who is suspected to have killed his ex- girlfriend Fahim Natoolo whose body was on Wednesday discovered soaked in a pool of blood with deep cuts in Okot’s house (rental) in Mbalwa Zone, Kira municipality, Wakiso district.
The slain Natoolo was a banker with Tropical Bank of Africa Masaka branch and the suspect, Andrew Okot, is a clerk at HASO stores- it is reported that the two have been cohabiting.
According to Bukedde TV, these two are both graduates from the banda based Kyambogo university and it’s believed that’s how they met and dated but later parted ways after Natoolo’s family refused her to get married to Okot on religious grounds but these two secretly kept in a relationship.
According to neighbours, these two returned home in the wee hours of Sunday night and early in the morning at around 7am the gate man over heard fighting and screaming and after a few minutes, Okot was suspiciously seen leaving from the house.
Different accounts also have it that Okot rushed to Riders Clinic in Namugongo to seek for medical attention claiming he had been hurt, after being treated on credit he requested to leave his car at the premises and begged to pick it later but he did not resurface which pushed clinic workers to report the matter to police.
On thorough investigations police discovered receipts in Okot’s car possessing names and contacts of Natoolo’s brother which same person had reported a case of a missing person after his sister wasn’t returning her calls.
And it’s at that juncture that police followed up till it got to Okot’s residence where they found the body of the deceased which was later taken to Mulago for postmortem and later laid to rest in Kayunga district.
A murder case has been filed against Okot under reference number SD17/02/2017 as the hunt and investigations proceed.
