This might sound not real but word in the vine indicates that Kyambogo guild has finally decided to reward the course coordinators in the Banda based, dusty campus.
The guild President, John Mugabi today announced in a guild meeting that all course reps. will be paid One Thousand Shillings Per Semester as an allowance (yes, kaasa!). “We have decided to start rewarding the hard work of every course representative in Kyambogo University with a lump sum of shs1000 per semester,” Mugabi revealed the good news.
An engineering student was heard complaining; “Shaa, that’s demeaning us, how can you pay someone only 1k for a whole semester? I as the course rep of Civil Engineering, will not allow this ‘kamanyro’,” the seemingly annoyed course rep. said!
Some students are very happy with this move while others are not, but we believe that this is somewhat going to improve the lives of the course reps.!
