When someone mentions Kyambogo University guild election, anyone who is well versed with what has been happening in the past can relate this period to catastrophe, recalling from last year when Campus Bee reported about a one Isabella Ainembabazi (RIP) who lost her life in a fatal accident around the campus during hot campaigns.

Yesterday, Kyambogo was yet to experience another tragedy when John Tumwijukye, who is contesting for the guild seat, survived food poisoning.

It all started yesterday afternoon when Tumwijukye, who is from the FDC’s camp, went to a cheap food joint in Banda to find something for lunch. There after, everything seemed normal till late in the evening when he developed severe abdominal pains followed by vomiting. But as the situation worsened, he was rushed to a nearby health facility for medical attention.

By the time our reporter got in touch with the victim, he was getting better. Tumwijukye surprisingly never rushed to blame anybody but he simply advised his fellow students to be cautious about where they eat from.
