Kabodha Saidi, the Guild Minister for Information, Communication, Mobilization and Transport at Kyambogo University has advised newly admitted students to be cautious and not fall prey to conmen who will be scavenging and looking to exploit the vulnerable young ones ahead of the new semester.
In his communication to the students’ fraternity, Kabodha informed that students are to pick their admission letters effective 12th August.
The admission letters are to be picked at the admissions office Block 2, room 3. He also communicated that those interested in appealing can do so within this period before the semester commences.
“To be considered as an appellant, you should have applied online following the process clearly spelt out by the University. You should also have met the cut off points for that particular programme applied for,” said Kabodha.
He also mentioned that applications for change of programme are to be conducted between 12th to 21st July.
Kabodha maintained that appealing and application for change in programme are free of charge and no individual should extort money from the freshers.
“Freshers should be on the lookout because there are people out there who are ready to take advantage of their vulnerability. They should not dish out money openly unless it is specified that they are supposed to pay a small fee to the university in the bank for these services,” he concluded.
