Yesterday 11th December, Kyambogo University kicked off its 3 day graduation ceremony that will take place up to Friday this week and 8,892  students will have graduated from different disciplines with certificates, diplomas, degrees, masters and PhD for the first time. H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was the guest of honor who graced the ceremony by his presence.

In his speech, the president said that the university has woken up from the long-term sleep in which it had spent over 16 years. By this he meant that producing the first batch of doctorates was really a big achievement to the university. The university graduated two students with PhD’s in from the department of food technology.

“In Kyambogo you are beginning to wake up. There is actually renaissance at Kyambogo. Kyambogo has got out of Kulambala (sleep).” President Museveni said.
