The KYU FDC guild primaries 2014/15 were held on Wednesday 5th at the university student’s center.
It was one of the tight contests that one would live to remember.
With both contestants being FDC ‘die-hards’, it was such a hard moment for the executive to decide who to vote and no one would even try predicting the winner.
The contestants Ssimbwa Hassan and Victor Irumba have all been in the current guild council with Ssimbwa being a GRC Faculty of Arts and Social sciences and at the same time a minister while Victor has been the GRC School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
In the KYU FDC executive, Ssimbwa is the Party Mobiliser while Victor is the projects coordinator.
The executive consists of 37 members who were entitled to voting. Only 33 of these voted and at the end of the day, ssimbwa emerged as the winner with a difference of 1 vote!
Ssimbwa got 17 votes while victor got 16 votes.
