The Kogikwatako campaign this morning spread kicked off t at Kyambogo university after a clique of students clad in their blue gowns started causing chaos and chasing students and lecturers out of lecture rooms asking them to join them in the demonstrating against lifting the age limit.
The students actions that were quickly turning violent got the police’s attention and in no minute there was a heavy deployment of police officers in every corner of campus and as usual the students disappeared as soon as they saw the armoured police taking position.
The students planned procession later registered no success as students were seen fleeing back to their hostels and halls of residence leaving campus completely deserted.
The atmosphere is currently calm and in control as police has taken charge. Campus Bee is on ground and we shall be bringing you updates.
