The Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Hon. Amelia Kyambadde has today officially launched the 3-day “Academic and Practical Skills Inter-University Conference and Exhibition for Leather and Leather Products” at Kyambogo University in Banda.
While speaking at the launch, Kyambadde encouraged the university to support students to invent machines which can be used in leather and tanning production. The minister also revealed that Kyambogo produces students of high demand adding that they are very disciplined.
“Kyambogo produces disciplined and practical graduates who are on high demand by employers. I’m very impressed by the transformation at Kyambogo University. The government is working on the infrastructure development, supporting the curriculum and it can as well support on the machinery for the industry.” Kyambadde said
The Minister was later seen checking on the students’ leather products alongside the university Vice-Chancellor Prof Eli Katunguka.
