Kyambogo University Academic Registrar, Annie Begumisa has released a detailed academic calendar for both continuing students and freshers ahead of reopening scheduled for 1st March. According to the calendar that Campus Bee has seen, continuing students will resume their 2019/2020 academic year semester two on 1st March 2021 with blended/face to face learning for a period of three weeks.
The calendar further indicates that continuing students will sit for their examinations for three weeks starting from 22nd March to 11th April.
Freshers and continuing students will kick off semester 1 for the 2020/21 academic year on April 10th 2021, a day when hall residents (both freshers and continuing students) are expected to report on campus.
The university will kick off blended/face to face learning on 12th April 2021 for a period of six weeks (till 23rd may). The university will then shift to online teaching for a period of four weeks starting from 24th May till 20th June 2021.
On June 21st 2021, Kyambogo students will kick off their end of semester one exams which will be done for a period of four weeks. The exams will end on 18th July 2021 and that will mark the end of the semester.
Following the time lost while universities were closed, students will have a break of only one week before reporting for semester two on 26th July. According to Begumisa, the university will communicate the schedule and dates for their 17th graduation ceremony.
