A student of Kyambogo university was on Monday caught cheating during his first end of semester exam after he ‘smuggled’ answers to the exam room.
Muhumuza Donald, a student of social sciences specializing in economics was found with a summary of answers in the examination centre. This called for attention as the lecturer spotted him checking down on his thighs. He was later picked up by police.
It’s currently unclear how the university adminsitration is going to reprimand the student but sources at Senate intimate to us that an investigation is
reportedly underway. It is unclear whether the student will be expelled or be made to sit for another exam.
“When you have a child who is taking a very difficult class, being challenged and doing well, and then find out that other kids are working the system — it’s bad. It’s a program fail,” a lecturer sarcastically told this reporter.
