To the already many students that have lost their lives this year, the list has added one more young student who died on Saturday. News reaching us indicates that a Kyambogo University student identified as Mwesigwa Mongoyi Elijah lost his life over the weekend.
More details reveal that Mwesigwa collapsed in the bathroom and all of a sudden he lost his youthful precious life. Information regarding his previous health status is still scanty as it is not yet clear whether he was suffering from any illness over the past days.
Mongoyi Eria who recently finalized his masters degree in art and design and was currently doing his research while awaiting graduation in December this year was reported dead after one of his cousins, Issac Nahamya confirmed that he accidentally slid while in the bathroom at his home- dying instantly.
“Days come and days go Eria you have left a big pinch in my life, how am I supposed to leave knowing you’ve left. Sleep well my friend,” eulogised Katuramu Ernest a close friend to the deceased.
Mongoyi will be laid to rest today at 4pm at his ancestral grounds in Kibeto, Kamuli District. Our heart felt condolences go out to his friends and family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
