Fallen Kyambogo university student Karen Akampurira Mbiika has been laid to rest. The land economics student was laid at her ancestral home in Rwagasha Kyeizooba, Bushenyi.
Karen was born on 22nd July 1999 and she attended Ngyeya preparatory school, and then joined Bweranyangi Girls secondary school from S.1to S.6.
In her speech, the minister of lands and urban development Betty Oliver Kamya, who was the godmother of the deceased, revealed that the late Karen who had a bright future died of a blood clot.
While eulogizing the late Karen Akampurira, Minister Karooro who delivered a message from the government noted that Death had taken Karen when she was still young with a lot to contribute for this country.
She however consoled the parents, leaders and family members that God is the one who gives and also takes away.
Bishop Johnson who preached at the burial asked the parents of late Karen to be strong because plans of death are only known by God; no one knows when it is supposed to come.
He hailed Kibara Mbiika for being a hardworking man no wonder his late child was also hard working.
