Isaac Tumukunde, a second year student of Bachelor of Statistics and Economics, left his peers and the Kyambogo students fraternity in utter shock having been announced dead in rather mysterious circumstances.
According to reports from Kyambogo university, Tumukunde developed what seemed like simple illness as he was doing his holiday duties at the parent’s farm and was rushed to hospital, only to be announced dead by the medics moments later.
His coursemates back at the University have taken to social media to mourn their fallen comrade, with Samuel Rubiika eulogizing that all that will remain with him are the memories of the Maths the late Isaac taught him in Semester One.
Several reports also indicate that Tumukunde, having already settled next semester’s tuition fees was also the first member in his family to reach and attend University education. Burial preparations are under way and he will be laid to rest today, Monday 19th June in Nyakagyama sub-county, Rukungiri district.
