Kyambogo University fraternity is engulfed in sadness following the untimely passing of their own student, Ms Asingwire Shallot who passed away on the morning of April 16.
The deceased was in her final year of study and was slated to graduate later this year, a relative revealed to Campus Bee.
According to reports, Asingwire (RIP) was knocked dead in a road accident involving a speeding truck, in Bweyogerere – a Kampala suburb.
Friends have described the late as humble and joyful.
“I will always remember Shallot for what a nice friend she was. She would always put other people’s happiness above her own,” a one Kirabo wrote on Facebook.
The late was also a daughter to Mr John Betungura, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Kyegegwa district, and resident of Kitwe, in Ibanda District.
She will be buried April 18 at Kyabarende Bufunda, in Ibanda District.
