Many still hold tight onto their childhood dreams today and cherish them with all their might. Jerome Jeremiah a 3rd year student doing a bachelors in Industrial Design at Kyambogo University is soaring high and going places with his not-only exhilarating vocals, but also is awesome dance moves.
Being a Gospel artiste and dancer, Jerome has only God to thank for where he is now. The 23 year old, humble and optimistic singer who is on government sponsorship will write joy all-over his face as he narrates his cumbersome but swift journey and dream to make it big someday. This gentleman here is truly a junk of all trades, a man of all seasons. A true Hustler!
Drawing inspiration from his father (who he prefers to identify as a Reverand and a lecturer at UCU) as a young kid, Jerome has mastered the art of singing and today commands a noticeable following because of his breathe-taking gospel music. ‘I am G*Sparks CEO of G* ENT Music Label,” the soft-spoken Kyambogonian says. “I am also a graphics designer, professional dance choreographer with over six years’ experience. I also dance, direct videos and write songs too,” he adds.
He operates part-time deals but highlights singing as his major and great breadwinner. On a normal day, you’ll find Jerome producing Graphics on magazines, various cards, posters, flyers banners, IDs on the mighty Nasser Road.
When a dance deal and duty calls, customers that reach him via Facebook, phone calls and whatsapp are quickly attended too by the hardworking gentleman who works tirelessly like his friends say.
Asked about how his pocket is faring with all the seemingly juicy deals that come in, Jerome smiled in amazement! “I don’t earn daily but I can hold many deals at a go. Small work can earn me around 50K- 200k but some deals can catapult me to a juicy tune of 1.5million in profits,” Jerome divulges.
He has zeroed down asking money for upkeep from his parents to none and he caters for most of his minor needs from his earnings.
“I invest in my music videos that usually cost me between 1.5m-3.5m depending on the quality and charges. I also participate a lot in charity which is the reason why I get so many rewards from my kind gestures,” noted Jerome.
However, Jerome narrates of how he almost lost his life while practising dance moves. He further lashes out at people that don’t fully pay him once he’s called upon to perform at shows.
Jerome greatly hopes to start up a charity foundation someday and own a studio and graphics company. Thanks to his father’s new mansion project, he intends to start up a dancing school where he will offer dancing lessons.
