For the very first time, Kyambogo will issue transcripts to it’s students on graduation day, the acting vice chancellor Prof Eli Katunguka has said.
Speaking to journalists at the university premises last week, Prof Katunguka said this has been possible with the university’s ICT enhanced capabilities.
“When our students graduate with our transcripts, they will be in a better position to get jobs before other people come on board next year,” Katunguka said.
The campus is set to hold its three-day 13th graduation ceremony from December 14 to 16 where over 7000 students will be awarded with certificates, degrees and diplomas in various fields of study.
Katunguka added that the university has recruited temporary people to beef up staff in entering the results of students into the results and transcripts management system. This system is able to compile results of a student from the first semester of the first year to their final year.
This according to Katunguka will save time for many students that later come back and crowd in thousands at the transcript office.
