Over 13,000 Kyambogo University students are to miss their final exams due to non payment of tuition.
Addressing a news conference this morning, the Acting University Vice Chancellor Prof Elly Katunguka said 2200 year one students have not paid their tuition since the beginning of this year, 5,300 other defaulters are in year two, over 5,800 are in year three while 458 are in four.
Prof Katunguka says these students have up to 20th December to clear up to zero balance, or they risk missing exams.
He explained that the university is overwhelmed by operational expenses including payment of staff salaries.
The final exams are scheduled for January 2016.
