Saturday night was a doomsday for two young men who have for a long time been terrorizing Kyambogo university students, stealing various property ranging from phones to laptops to clothes.
The two thugs who had no identification were arrested on Saturday night within the vicinities of Nanziri Kennedy block, a hall of residence at Kyambogo belonging to ladies.
They were caught after one snatched a smartphone from the window pane where a lady had placed her phone to strategically tap WiFi. The female student screamed hysterically attracting other students who chased, caught and beat the thieves to near death.
They [thieves] were rescued by the Savannah security guards that provide security on campus.
After further interrogations, it was confirmed that these two men who had grasped the students’ mode of behaviour have been stealing around Kyambogo hostels for a long time. They are currently held at the Kyambogo police station.
