A bunch of several Kyambogo University students are stranded and confused after lecturers who also double as research supervisors declined working.
In a conversation with a section of students especially those from the School of Management and Entrepreneurship, these students alleged that their supervisors had declined working on their research proposals and dissertations claiming they (supervisors) had laid down tools and that they were striking till further notice.
‘’My supervisor has for a while been dodging me while not picking my calls not until yesterday when I called her and she told me that they are striking and that research will wait till further notice.’’ Mitch furiously told our reporter.
The strike that seems to be a silent one hasn’t yet aroused much pressure since some lecturers are still working. This website’s efforts to talk to the university Public Relations Officer were futile, however various lecturers who preferred to remain anonymous confirmed that they are on strike.
Last month we brought you a story of Kyambogo university lecturers warning that they shall not mark scripts and supervise intern unless they are paid .
