Kyambogo university cried out to UMEME over the property destroyed as the institution experienced power outage for close to a month.
The vice chancellor of Kyambogo Prof. Eli Katunguka filed a complaint at UMEME expressing his concern with the outage that had disrupted teaching and also destroyed property worth millions.

Kyambogo University has put UMEME on the spot over constant power outages within campus, something the University managers say have disrupted teaching and learning.
The outages according to UMEME were due to technical glitches at Kireka sub-station that affected power supply in the areas it serves Kyambogo university being part of it.
