After a number of complaints from Kyambogo University students over Kifeesi robbers at night, the University’s administration has taken the first step to eliminate the scary night spots in its premises.

The solar powered new street lights have been installed around Kyambogo University to make the campus a safer environment during late night hours. Despite the night police patrols around the Banda based premises, a number of robbery cases were reported by students.

During the official opening day of guild campaigns last Friday, some aspirants made comparisons of Kyambogo with other Universities in terms of lighting. Well, it looks like street lighting will no longer be part of their manifestos.

Among other new improvements at Kyambogo University happens to be the new lecturer rooms, new faculty buildings, the ongoing construction of staff quarters among others. Indeed, this is steady progress!
