Kyambogo University Guild President John Mbaziira has made a call to the students’ fraternity to hand in their applications if interested, so as to be appointed to the Electoral Commission.
According to the Kyambogo University Students’ Guild Constitution, the available positions include the chairperson, the vice chairperson, the secretary, one commissioner per polling station and a representative from each faculty or constituency.
The same guild constitution gives the guild president the mandate to, in consultation with the executive, propose members of the commission for approval by the Guild Representative Council (GRC) and this must be done not later than the 30th day of the second semester.
All interested members of the Kyambogo students fraternity have been requested to submit their applications to electoralcommissionpolicybased@gmail.com or to the Office of the Guild General Secretary at the Guild Café. The deadline is 31st January, 2022.
