Prior to the emergence of H.E. Amanya German to the Kyambogo University Guild presidential seat, a lot of promises were advanced to the students’ fraternity as per the transformation that the institution would undergo during his reign. Well, it seems like these promises were not in vain after all as the Guild cabinet has commenced with their very first project of revamping halls of residence at the University.
In a letter addressed to all the five (5) hall chairpersons, the Guild president informed them that inspection of all halls of residence in a bid to identify areas for repairs was to take place between 4th June and 8th June of 2018. This was prior to a letter copied to his office by the Estates and Works department. He asked them to comply and respond whenever needed.
However, some critics of the regime have accused the Guild cabinet of claiming a project that did not actually belong to them. “We all know that this project was spearheaded by Ochieng Joseph (Former Guild President). He is taking over his predecessor’s project. Let him concentrate on his manifesto,” an angry critic retorted.
