The office of the Academic Registrar, Kyambogo University has released guidelines to be followed by students intending to change course or study time.
The communique targeted new students who were admitted through Direct Entry Scheme for Academic Year 2023/2024.
For one to apply for change of programme/Study time, they must be within the cut-off points of the Programme/Study time they wish to change to; subject to availability of places in that Programme/Study time.
The requests should be forwarded using the following procedure:
- Log onto your individual student’s portal using your username and password on myportal.kyu.ac.ug/. Please ensure that your portal is activated.
- Click on request for a service on your portal
- Fill in the required information
- Submit your request through the portal
- Generate a payment reference number and proceed to pay for the service requested for in any bank.
The charges to be incurred are as follows;
i) Change of Programme – 50,000/-
ii) Change of Study time – 20,000/=
Important to note is that the deadline for submission of these requests is Friday 18th August 2023.
Applicants have also been reminded to attach photocopies of the following documents:
- Application Form
- Admission Letter
- O’ level Result slip and Certificate
- A’ Level Result Slip and Certificate
- Proof of payment
