Kyambogo University has released a set of official guidelines on graduation attire for its upcoming 2025 graduation ceremony, reminding all graduands to adhere strictly to the approved gown requirements.
In a notice shared on the university’s official platforms titled “Know Your Gown”, Kyambogo emphasized that all students graduating with diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees must wear customized university gowns as prescribed by their respective faculties and schools.
According to the guidelines:
All graduands for diplomas, bachelors and masters across all faculties must wear the customized Kyambogo University gowns.
Diploma graduands are required to wear only gowns and hats.
Bachelor’s and Master’s graduands must wear gowns, hats, and hoods, matching the official faculty or school colours.
The notice comes as the university prepares for its next graduation event, with administrators keen on maintaining uniformity, institutional identity, and ceremony decorum.
Kyambogo University has in recent years tightened regulation around graduation attire to curb the use of unauthorized gowns, ensure quality, and preserve the institution’s branding.
Graduands have been advised to verify gown specifications with their respective faculties and to acquire attire only from approved suppliers.
The university is expected to release more graduation updates in the coming days, including rehearsal schedules, final graduation lists, and ceremony logistics.
