Kyambogo University is set to begin a suicide campaign whose main aim is to curb suicide acts among it’s students and the University community at large.
The Kyambogo University Guidance and Counseling Unit, Students welfare department, Strong Minds Uganda and LEM Uganda are the organizers of the campaign whose theme “Hope Never Runs Dry ” is meant to keep the students hopeful in all situations.
There are a number of activities that will be carried out during the three day campaign such as Public lecture, suicide awareness, depression screening, individual counseling, group counseling, HIV screening and blood donation.
The campaign that is expected to begin on Monday 6th June 2022 and end on 8th June 2022 running from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the CTF grounds.
The students are therefore called upon to take advantage of the campaign as it is for them.
