The Kyambogo university fraternity was on Monday morning left in shock after there own lecturer passed on.
Ms Owino Mary Akumu who had been battling diabetes for a long time, breathed her last earlier today.
Ms Awino has been a lecturer at the banda based Kyambogo university; attached to the department of languages and communication.
“I Am deeply hurt that Ms Awino has left us at such a time, my heart bleeds for we have lost a mother, friend and a colleague, my condolences go out to her family,” said Eyayu Daniel a student belonging to the languages Department Kyambogo university.

Burial is to take place at her ancestral grounds in Tororo.
