The Kyambogo University lecturers have issued an ultimatum to their administration and the government to pay their salary dues or else they start industrial action.
The staff admit that they have arrears for four months now since their payment in December last year. They demand salaries from the month of January to April 2017
They threaten that if their salaries are not in their accounts by close of working day today, they will lay down their tools the following day.
Currently, the students of Kyambogo are doing their end of semester examinations. Laying down tools at such a critical moment will be very catastrophic to the university and the innocent students.
