Kyambogo University is mourning the untimely death of one of its students.
Katusiime Catherine, a first-year Bachelor of Development Studies student, passed away, as announced by the Students’ Guild leadership on 31st May, 2025
The Guild President, H.E Akiso Benjamin, issued a condolence message expressing the profound grief felt across the campus following Catherine’s passing.
The student, registered under number 24/U/BDD/05817/PD, was a member of the Faculty of Social Science and had been pursuing her studies in Development Studies.
The actual cause has not been revealed but the Guild has requested for prayers and support for the bereaving family and friends.
Barely a week, other 2 students from Makerere have passed on due to different causes. The unfortunate occurrences have left a dark cloud on the respective student communities.
