Kyambogo, a renown University in terms of games and sports surprisingly had one of the worst (if not worst) pitches known in the country . Ofcourse after MUBS and Uganda Martyrs in the order, something that the internet trolls did not take lightly as could be seen on everywhere.
Despite the project having been proposed and passed via the previous University council meetings, not much work had been effected on ground under the consolation of pending plans approval from the municipal council. On further pressure accumulation, minor works of trench digging commenced merely days before the presidential directive to close all learning institutions.
The hive cameras caught a glimpse of excavators, graders and lorries gathering at the pitch, a sight which was immediately interpreted as “succumbing to internet troll” pressure by the V.C leaving one to wonder what other impulsive decisions have been made by the gullible administrators for the mere sake of cheap internet fame.
Having spoken to one of the officials under this project that chose to remain anonymous, our reporter was told funding for the project was due the next financial year and the current works on the site were but preparatory drainage and leveling works so the site stops being soggy.
Having consulted several students, our reporter arrived that the conclusion that more than three quarters of the sample students were in agreement with the University initiative claiming it would better the institution well as the other quarter felt it a non-priority claiming many faculties still lacked academic infrastructure. “Something they actually paid for and came to do” but are still not receiving.
All in all, everyone whether in agreement or not anxiously await the unveiling of this, the overly anticipated and exaggerated Kyambogo University structure on the commencement of the tertiary learning institutions as assumed in May.
