As it has always been that Kyambogo closes earlier than most of the universities, it’s still on as the date for this semester has been pulled to 7th May. This follows a notice which clearly indicates that all the students will have finished their exams.
All students that reside in halls have been asked to vacate before the set date. The situation around Kyambogo indicates that most of the students have already gone home as congestion especially at the main gate is seen no more.
The vendors and those with businesses around Banda are full of lamentations as they do not know where they will get customers from since most of the students have gone. “Tough times lie ahead of us as all our customers have left. We now have to endure the hard times until the semester resumes,” cried one of the vegetable sellers in Banda.
We wish all Kyambogo students happy holidays.
