Deborah Kyomugisha, a third year student of Kyambogo university offering a bachelors of arts in social sciences (BASS) passed away Sunday morning [Easter] at St Francis Hospital, Nsambya.
According to Henry Kitakule the minister of information Kyambogo University, Kyomugisha had undergone an operation after failing to deliver her baby normally.
The operation was succesfull with the baby born alive but got her in a critical condition. She was later admitted in the intensive care unit at the same hospital.
Her condition worsened on Easter Eve when she started bleeding severely- both internally in the chest and also through the nose untill she was pronounced dead on Sunday early morning.
“We are deeply saddened by her death at such a time when she was supposed to be finishing he exams and awaiting graduation. May her soul Rest In Peace,” Kitakule in a statement said.
Kyomugisha’s burial is to take place today afternoon at exactly 4pm in Rukungiri district.
