In accordance to the meeting that was held yesterday, 11th June 2018, the guild president H.E German Amanya and H.E Kyasiimire Penpal the guild vice president, well fulfilled their obligation of representing students issues to the council and a lot was discussed.
Hon. Bruhan M. Byaruhanga, Chairperson students welfare committee questioned security in the country which also directly affects the students.
The top management will this Wednesday meet with IGP Okoth Ocholla to find clear terms under which a new security company can be procured and feedback will be given to the University council which will seat on 21st.
After various dialogues between the guild leadership and the top administration, the amount has been increased from 4000/= to 4500/=on assurance that this money will be given to students early enough for better planning and instant feeding. Still on out sourcing, all meals including breakfast, Lunch and supper will be provided by the chosen service provider.
Interpreters and guides have been requested to always write for Re-appointment to ease payment claims and meals charges. The western part of the hall of residences i.e Kulubya hall and Pearl is also having a revamp to match the standards of the expected services. The sewage channel is being worked upon. For internship and faculty allowances, students are informed that the processing is still going on and all faculties will receive fully.
