Kyambogo University Academic Registrar Dr. Annie Begumisa has summoned 10 students to appear before the university senate to explain issues regarding examination malpractice on 18th February 2022.
In a notice published in one of the national newspapers, the Academic Registrar informed the mentioned students to appear before Senate Examinations Committee for their final hearing.
”Take note that the Academic Registrar Kyambogo University invites the under listed students to appear before the senate examinations committee fixed on the 18th day of February 2022 at 10:00 am in the school of management and entrepreneurship resource room to answer the charge of malpractice,” the notice reads.
”If no appearance is made by yourself, on your behalf or by your pleader or by someone by law authorized to act on your behalf, the case will be heard and decided in your absence 7 days from the date of the notice,” Dr. Begumisa emphasized.
Public Universities across the country are finding ways of curbing the increasing rates of examination malpractice among students during final semester examinations.
It should be recalled that last week, Mbarara University of science and technology (MUST) discontinued over 40 students on matters of examination malpractice.
