As you hear this, Koodi has already launched his consultation schedule that will see him traverse Bulamogi North West county as he tells the citizens his intention of becoming a member of parliament representing them in the August house come 2021.
Koodi is popularly known as ‘Ompanguza Omulamogi’ in his locality because of his long term political ambition. We did not catechize enough to know the actual meaning of his nickname, but we are sure it must be related to politics and governance.
Koodi is a leader who has been doing most of his leadership roles at University in the background. People who stay around him are quick to say that “those he will lead are so lucky. He is the kind of leader the world should count on.”
Koodi Eric is in his last (third) year at Kyambogo University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. This means that Mr. Eric might not stand on the streets with #WhatsNext placards come 2021 since he might be busy finding ways of creating more jobs with other members of parliament.
“I have to be on the ballot in the 2021 Uganda Elections and I’m going to lead North West Bulamogi county to Parliament,” says Mr. Eric with a chortle.
Koodi Eric is one of the tens of students who have shown interest in competing in the 2021 elections. Various University students have openly come up to show interest in vying for parliamentary seats in their home areas including Atto Sebbi Juma, Kyambogo’s former guild presidential aspirant, Makerere’s Musiri David who up to now is still under suspension for his active involvement in the fees must fall strike and the latest that is reaching our hive is that Tundulu Jonathan, Kyambogo’s current guild president has the same ambition. The hive will keep you posted about future developments.
