Embattled Kyambogo University Guild President Tundulu Jonathan has this morning, 1st October dismissed the Guild Vice President Ninsiima Hellen from Office with immediate effect.
In exercise of the powers bestowed upon him in accordance with Article 8, Clause 8 (A)(g) and (h), Tundulu has rendered his Vice President an ordinary GRC. According to him, Ninsiima’s insubordination, failure to account for her office and conspiracy with Management to suffocate Students’ interests has cost her the much coveted position.
“Ninsiima will henceforth cease to be the female student representative to the University Council as stipulated in Article 8, Clause 8, (A)(p),” the letter to the Dean of students read in a part.
However, the sacked Vice President says she cannot be dismissed from the university council by a mere guild president arguing that it contravenes Council Laws.
“University Council members are bound by a charter and as such cannot be dismissed by the Guild President whenever he pleases,” Ninsiima commented on her sacking.
