During a Clinical Legal Education class on Monday, a one Kibirige Hannington forgot to close his tabs before sharing his computer screen during an online class at Law Development Centre (LDC).
Students of the 2nd intake were on Monday disrupted after discovering that Kibirige was juggling books with porn in the middle of a lecture that required much attention.
According to a statement released by Annet Mutabingwa, the Head of Barcourse, Kibirige isn’t a scholar at LDC. Mutabingwa’s statement was addressed to the LDC Assistant Director following this ashaming incident.
Mutabingwa maintained that the suspect is not a student of LDC and his name does not appear anywhere in their records. She further explained that the zoom generated attendance record captured Kibirige as a ‘guest” before warning students from sharing their meeting links with strangers.

“Thank you Asst. Director for your efforts aimed at instilling professional ethics in our students. Just to emphasise to all the students; we shall not condone and/or tolerate any conduct unbecoming of a barcourse student or conduct that brings the name of the centre into disrepute.” Mutabingwa said in a statement.
“A quick preliminary investigation into the matter of alleged ‘watching a phonographic video’ during an academic activity has established that the suspect, Kibirige Hannington is not a student of the centre. His name doesn’t appear any where in our records and the zoom generated attendance record captured him in the column for the firm as a’ guest’. This can be avoided if only ‘authenticated users’ access the links for our sessions.” She added.
As a way of preventing the same incidents from happening, Mutabingwa urged students to always use their official emails and avoid sharing links with strangers. LDC will reportedly continue investigating and whoever is found to have shared the link with the ‘suspect’ will face disciplinary action.
“Moving forward, I strongly warn all the students to avoid sharing the links with strangers and always endeavour to use their official email addresses. We shall continue with the investigation and whoever is found to have shared the link with the ‘suspect’ will face disciplinary action.” Mutabingwa vowed.
All higher learning institutions were ordered to hold online lectures as the government looks for a long lasting solution to reopen them during this COVID-19 period.
