The Law Development Centre (LDC) has announced the admission of 1,260 students into its Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice program for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The students will be distributed across LDC’s three campuses: Kampala, Mbarara, and Lira. The Kampala campus will accommodate 630 students, Mbarara will take in 420 students, and Lira will host 210 students.
This intake includes 597 students who had deferred their admission from the previous academic year, while 663 are new applicants from various accredited universities and law schools in Uganda, as well as a few international students.
LDC also noted that each university was given a proportional share of slots based on the academic performance of their students.
The distribution of students across the campuses was strategically decided to ensure optimal use of resources such as library facilities, computer labs, and other academic infrastructures, as well as the availability of human resources.
In addition to the 1,260 admitted students, LDC expects approximately 240 returning students from the 2024/2025 cohort who are retaking subjects at their respective campuses. This brings the total number of students anticipated for the upcoming academic year to about 1,500.
Applicants can expect to receive notifications regarding their applications via email from LDC. Any further inquiries can be directed to the LDC Admissions Office at admissions@ldc.ac.ug.
