The Law Development Center (LDC) board of examiners has communicated decisions regarding examination malpractice cases.
This, according to the Academic Registrar Stephanie Lukwanzi, through a public notice.
“The public and stakeholders are informed about decisions taken by the Board of Examiners on 1st February 2024 under Rule 24 (9) and (10) of the Rules Governing Bar Course, 2020, regarding alleged examination malpractice cases,” he noted.
Some students have been pardoned after successfully pleading but others have been dismissed and classified ineligible for readmission.
The Board considered the following recommendations of the Examination Malpractice Committee.
1. Students found guilty of examination malpractices, dismissed from the Bar Course and not eligible for readmission for any course at LDC.

2. Students found not guilty and absolved of examination malpractices.
- Mutawo Godfrey BAR/SEP/LRA/0715/2022 Procuring or hiring services of another person to sit examinations on his behalf
- Buwule Christine BAR/SEP/KLA/1088/2022 Submitting answer script in different handwriting
- Mukalazi John BAR/SEP/KLA/1385/2022 Smuggling examination script into examination
- Luliika Sharif BAR/SEP/KLA/1300/2022 Smuggling examination script into examination
- Namakula Aida BAR/FEB/LRA/2628/2021 Possession and use of prohibited material
3. Pending further investigations by the Examination Malpractice Committee

The Registrar also intimated that LDC does not condone examination malpractice and any student who is found guilty is dismissed from the Bar Course and not be eligible for re-admission for any course at LDC.
