Law Development Centre (LDC) Director Frank Nigel Othembi is in hot soup, just weeks away from the next LDC graduation in December.
Mugerwa S. Ramathan, a whistle blower has written to the office of the Inspector General of Government (IGG) asking them to probe the LDC Director, and the Academic Registrar Evaristo Turyahikayo.
The letter that was received on November 14th this year raises alarming claims against the two officers accusing them of among others channeling LDC money to private accounts, deliberately failing some students to either collect money from them or get into their pants and illicitly gaining money from multiple suits that students bring up against LDC.
“The Director and his team have refused to settle complaints deliberately, so that they earn from instruction fees that they issue out to private lawyers of their choice who represent the centre” Mr Mugerwa said in the letter.
Mugerwa says that the two officers have taken advantage of the desperation among students who cannot afford the high retake fees to sexually exploit them and miraculously make them appear on the graduation lists.
He asked the IGG to audit among others, the lifestyles of the two officers which he says is over and beyond their known salaries from the Law Development Centre.
