The Law Development Center (LDC) has come out to trash fake information about supplementary examination results.
According to LDC Secretary Lukyamuzi Hamis Ddungu, it has been discovered that there is someone or a group of people masquerading as staff of the institution.
“These fraudsters attempt to extort money from our students with a promise of helping them to change their supplementary examination results,” he noted.
Allegedly, the conmen use the following phone contacts to fleece the unsuspecting public: 0765618168 and 0788631244.
“We would like to inform the general public that we do not collect any fees from students in exchange of altering their marks, and incase of any review of marks, we have official channels and established rules,” the secretary added.
It is against this background that LDC informed the general public that any person who deals with such people does so at their own risk and LDC shall not be held responsible for any losses incurred.
However, any victim of such false communication from these conmen has been encouraged to report the matter to the Police.
