With the 51st Graduation Ceremony at Law Development Centre (LDC), Lira Campus, just around the corner, preparations are in full swing to ensure a memorable and successful event.
Scheduled for April 26th, 2024, under the theme “Excellence. Always.,” the ceremony promises to be a momentous occasion for graduands, faculty, and guests alike, as per the released order of events.
The programme outlines a meticulously planned schedule, beginning with the arrival of graduands and invited guests at 8:30 am, followed by the arrival of VIPs and the Guest of Honour, Senior Counsel Francis Gimara.
The ceremony will kick off at 10:00 am with the Graduation Procession, accompanied by the rendition of national anthems and the LDC Anthem.
Speeches from key dignitaries, including the Director, Council Member of the Northern Region Uganda Law Society, Resident Judge of Lira, and Chairperson of the Management Committee, will provide insight and inspiration to the graduating class.
The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of graduands by the heads of the Department of Law and Continuing Legal Education, as well as the Department of Post-Graduate Legal Studies and Legal Aid. Diplomas and post-graduate certificates will be conferred upon deserving students, followed by the prestigious awards for the best-performing individuals.
As the Director/Guest of Honour adjourns the congregation, attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on their academic journey and celebrate their accomplishments.
The event will conclude with a luncheon for invited guests, fostering camaraderie and networking among legal professionals and stakeholders.
This will be the last graduation ceremony for this year with other LDC campuses (Mbarara and Kampala) holding respective ceremonies for the last two consecutive Fridays.
