City Lawyer Isaac Ssemakade has trashed Law Development Center’s (LDC) 49th virtual graduation ceremony.
According to Isaac Ssemakadde, the virtual graduation is a scheme by the institution to swindle money.
Ssemakadde, in a tweet, said its not rational for LDC to hold a virtual graduation, with ongoing preparations for a physical sports day after the ceremony.
“… diddling thousands of students out of their money during an economic recession using the pretext of delivering a virtual graduation,” part of the tweet reads.
Law Development Center (LDC) will hold its 49th graduation, a ceremony that will be virtual with exception for a few that will attend physically, on July 29th, 2022.
The legal grooming institution will have a sports gala on July 31 (two days after graduation).
Isaac Ssemakadde says the sports gala will attract crowds, which is the same reason the center gave for conducting a virtual graduation ceremony.
According LDC, there is need to prioritize health, and events such as graduation which attracts crowds is a fast spreader of Covid-19.
