The Law Development Centre (LDC) on September 17 confirmed the successful applicants for the Post graduate bar course for the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
The long list comprised names of students distributed across the three LDC campuses in the country. However, not all applicants were considered, breeding far reaching indisposition.
The Board has thus retaliated towards the numerous complaints with a communique addressing its decisions regarding admissions.
Resultantly, the admissions Board decided as follows:
- All applicants admitted to the Bar Course in the academic year 2023/2024 will be issued with letters of offer on 10th October, 2022.
- The applicants do not have to reapply for admission since they are already admitted.
- LDC will issue admission letters before commencement of the 2023/2024 academic year.
- LDC reserves the right to allocate an applicant any available campus.
- The offer will expire upon commencement of the 2023/2024 academic year. Applicants who will opt not to report for the course in the 2023/2024 academic year will have to reapply for admission.
- Applicants whose applications were rejected may reapply for admission in the 2023/2024 academic year provided they are able to provide required information.
LDC’s Academic registrar, Dr. Everest Turyahikayo, went ahead to categorize the excluded applicants in the document attached below.
The affected were as well advised to forward all queries/questions and comments regarding the lists to academicregistrar@ldc.ac.ug.
“Please do not communicate by any other means except this email provided,” Turyahikayo urged.
