Law Development Centre (LDC) through the office of the Academic Registrar has invited applications for admission to the Bar Course, 2023/2024 Academic Year.
The Center has also confirmed a single intake for the Academic Year 2023/2024 at the three campuses in Kampala. Lira and Mbarara.
To be eligible for admission to the Bar Course, the applicant should be;
- A holder of a bachelor’s degree in Law granted by a University in Uganda whose Law programme has been accredited by the Law Council and National Council for Higher Education
- The bachelor’s degree in Law must have been obtained from a university or institution of higher education duly licensed or chartered under the Laws of Uganda and accredited by the Law Council. The license or charter should have been obtained prior to your enrolment on the LLB programme
- A citizen of Uganda who is a holder of a law degree obtained from a University or Institution in a foreign country operating the common law system and recognized by the Law Council of Uganda. Applicants with foreign qualifications must obtain from the Law Council prior clearance in writing. Applications received online with foreign qualifications but without clearance from the Law Council shall not be processed.
- A former Bar Course student intending to repeat the entire Bar Course or subject(s) as provided for by the applicable Rules for passing the Bar Course.
Just like the previous year, the application fee has been maintained at UGX 200,000=

Important to note is that applications should be submitted not later than Friday 18th August, 2023.
