Makerere University students, in the college of Computing and Information Technology are on strike. The students, led by the college President, Robert Seninde have decided to have their voices heard through a strike. “Since the first round of tests, lecturers have never showed up for lectures. Almost all lecturers have been on strike and we have not been taught for the past two weeks and yet we cleared all tuition fees,” GRC Dickens told Campusbee.
The lecturers held a meeting yesterday with the senate seeking for payment of their incentives for the past three months. This meeting never yielded any results as he lecturers did not show up in lecturer rooms this morning.
