Magdalene Lochoro, a second year medical records student at Uganda Christian Institute for Professional Development (UCIPD) was stabbed to death in the wee hours of Thursday, according to Lira police.
Magdalene was found lying naked and lifeless in a pool of blood near her rental in Boroboro, Lira city.
The incident, according to North Kyoga Police spokesperson SP Jimmy Patrick Oken, was reported by the landlord of the deceased Pastor Enock Mugabi Amanya.
“It is alleged that on June 15th 2023 at around 0300 hours the reporter, Pastor Enock Mugabi Amanya who is also the landlord of the deceased received information that Magdalene, a Karamojong by tribe and student at UCIPD had been murdered by unknown people by stabbing,” he said.
Police was able to recover the knife that was allegedly used in the murder and also arrested a one Isaac Ayela who is believed to be the boyfriend to the deceased.
