Lira University has completed the construction of its perimeter fence and gate House at the building of education.
While officially unveiling the new projects on August 21st, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng, VC Lira University said the projects have been a success because of the unity of staff.
“Whatever success story we are seeing at the university is because of unity and team work by our staff,” he said.
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Okaka Opio Dokotum hailed the contractor Roman Jak & Co. Ltd for the job well done.
“We are very excited…when we have a project completed like this one,” he said.
Prof. Okaka Opio Dokotum lauded the Vice Chancellor for steering the university in good direction resulting into several successes in academic and infrastructure development.
“The VC started the university from under a tree as office space and now we are seeing magnificent structures coming up, this is a great leadership” he said.
The University Secretary, Augustine Oyang Atubo praised the Estates department for successfully coordinating development projects at the institution.
“We plan to build a modern and standard Police Station at the university to fight elements of insecurity at the campus,” he said.
